Muscle Pain, Sprains & Weakness

Injury preventing you from performing at your highest potential because of injury, fatigue, or lingering pain is one of the most frustrating parts of sports at any level. Over time, these injuries affect not only your performance but also the longevity of your athletic career.

What is this condition?

Pain and stiffness after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) most strongly felt 24 to 72 hours after training.

Acute strains overexertion or stretching of a muscle which results in a tear and damage to the muscle fibres and its attaching tendons

Chronic muscle strains can occur even from small tears if you continue to overload muscle over time

Symptoms to look for are pain, swelling, weakness and bruising or discolouration around the site of injury

As time passes, these injuries if not adequately treated often leads to the condition deepening, pain increasing, additional injuries in surrounding areas, as muscles are recruited to facilitate the initial problem.
