Foot Injuries

Pain under the heel when getting out of bed, your feet hurt, you begin to think about flat, comfortable shoes rather than fashion. You start to consider the distance between your parking spot and the door.  Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the tough, gristly tissue under your foot, at the insertion under the heel bone.

Increased loading on the foot, which includes continuous walking or running, hopping and jumping can facilitate Planter Fasciitis. Often clients are on their feet all day or have high arches or flat feet.

Over time, you may find yourself walking on the outside of the foot to avoid the pain. This imbalance in the anatomical train increases the load on the ankle, knee, and ultimately the hip and lower back, resulting in further complications.

What is this condition?

While foot pain can have many sources, Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common causes we see in the clinic. Inflammation of the thick band of tissue running from your heel bone to your toes
