Ankle Pain

What is this condition?

A sudden sideways or twisting movement, a slippery surface, maybe you’re fatigued, and you go over on your ankle, causing damage to ligaments and other soft tissues around the ankle, “It’s only a sprain” you decide to go on and “suck it up”.  Initially, the ankle is swollen, painful, and may be bruised.

Time passes, it happens again, the same injury, which has never been appropriately rehabilitated. The resulting ankle instability and the common statement “I have a weak ankle” could effectively be avoided by a correct and timely management of the initial injury, improving your outcome dramatically.
